Vendor Update

We got confirmed vendors for the three JapanTown festivals. Most are from last year. Some are in the process of doing their application, so stay tuned for updates! Here's the list:

  • Grilled tonton pork from Hakata Tonton, which specializes in authentic Kyushu soul food
  • Miso-marinated meat and fish from Marukome, a household name in Japan that has been making miso and soy products for a century and a half
  • Japanese curry from Curry-Ya, an East Village restaurant.
  • Takoyaki from Otafuku, a tiny hole-in-the-wall that has a big reputation for making the best takoyaki (octopus balls) in town. They also make okonomiyaki, which were wildly popular at last year’s festival.

  • Japanese hair accessories from Kiteya, based in Soho.
  • IACE Travel will most likely do their airline ticket raffle as they did last year
